Since 1919, The American Legion has served as the voice and home of wartime veterans who have sacrificed much to keep us free. On the list of Historic Landmarks in DeLand, Florida, Post 187 is destined to supporting active duty military, veterans and their families.

In keeping with our motto “Veterans Serving Veterans, Youth, and Community”, we have numerous and ongoing community projects.  Post 187 is continually helping Veterans in the local community with connecting with service officers to help with their VA claims.  We volunteer time to visit VA hospitals and Veteran homes across the area, have a clothing closet and veterans garden .
